Virtual Support

  • The All-Options Talkline offers free, confidential support for anyone navigating pregnancy, abortion, adoption, parenting, infertility, or pregnancy loss. Staffed by trained volunteer peer-counselors, the hotline provides a nonjudgmental space to talk through all your feelings and options.

Virtual support is available over the phone at any time of day. If you reach voicemail, you can leave your name, number, and time zone. Your call will be returned from a blocked number within 48 hours.

  • The M+A Hotline is a free, confidential resource that offers expert medical support to people struggling with miscarriage or abortion. Started by a group of doctors in 2019, this hotline is staffed by experienced and compassionate healthcare professionals. They provide accurate, trustworthy information and guidance to anyone navigating pregnancy loss or abortion. Additionally, their website offers a plethora of information about medication abortion, in-clinic abortion, other hotlines, abortion funds, gender-expansive care, and more.

Virtual support is available anonymously via call or text from 5:00am to 10:00pm PST. This is an amazing hotline for medical advice and support specifically.

  • Exhale offers confidential, nonjudgmental emotional support after an abortion. Their textline is staffed by trained peer counselors who will listen to and support you through emotional struggles and changes after your abortion. All conversations are anonymous, and Exhale does not retain long-term data from the textline. This resource is specifically dedicated to valuable non-medical support after an abortion.

Virtual support is available via their textline from 3:00pm to 9:00pm on weekdays, 1:00pm to 9:00pm on Saturdays, and 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Sundays (PST). Support is available in English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin.

  • The CDP is a collective of abortion doulas that offers free virtual support before, during, and after an abortion. These abortion doulas are trained, non-medical providers who are a source for emotional support, guidance, and reliable information throughout the abortion experience.

Virtual support is available to you regardless of where you reside in the U.S. To connect with a doula via phone or text, simply fill out the intake form and indicate your preference for virtual support.

  • Faith Aloud offers spiritual support for people navigating pregnancy, parenting, abortion, or adoption. Their free, confidential Spiritual Care Line connects callers with trained counselors (including chaplains, clergy, lay ministers, and seminary students) who hold space for the complex emotions and spiritual questions that can arise before, during, or long after a pregnancy decision.

Virtual support is available Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 9:00am to 12:00pm (PST). You can leave a voicemail during their non-operating hours and they will return your call as soon as possible.

Accessible from anywhere, these support lines offer a safe space to ask questions, process emotions, and feel less alone. Each resource offers a unique kind of care, with some being staffed by healthcare professionals who focus on medical inquiries, and others being staffed by counselors or abortion doulas who specialize in emotional support and guidance.

Whether you're navigating a new pregnancy, considering your options, or recovering from an abortion, virtual support can offer care, clarity, and connection when you need it most.
